Mountain View students headed into Spring Break by celebrating this year's One Book, One School novel, Out of My Mind. Students watched the movie adaptation of the novel, participated in related Advisory activities, and raised over $1,400 for the Larc School. #lionspride






The MVMS Math League completed the MathCounts Eweek contest for the month of February. Each week, the team worked to complete a different Engineer/STEAM-related problem. The League earned a certificate and the title of "Future Engineers with Honors" for their work.

In celebration of Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Day and Week, March 2-6, Hilltoppers partnered with Sparrow House Outreach to make Care Kits for the homeless in Newark, NJ! With the help of our MV Mentors and Sparrow House friends, Mr. Steve, Ms. Diana, and Ms. Nora, we packed 200 bags filled with protein bars, beef sticks, tuna pouches, pb/cheese crackers, pretzels, trail mix, water, a pair of warm socks, and a card! In the spirit of Thanksgiving, Hilltop’s 4th graders had the opportunity to visit our new neighbors at Sparrow House Outreach. Students learned about the realities of homelessness, the challenges of carrying all of one’s belongings throughout the day, and the many ways we can make a difference—whether by donating gently used clothing and snacks or helping prepare hot meals that are delivered to Newark.
