Chef Darnell, from Pomptonian, visited Hilltop to show how pasta is made. Throughout the lunch periods, students were able to watch the pasta being made and ask questions about the process. And of course there was fresh pasta for lunch! #lionspride #mendhamborosd

Hilltop 2nd Graders used Excel to communicate findings. Students created a class survey to obtain data and then collected, analyzed, and entered information, creating a customized digital graph with Mrs. LeMay, Hilltop's Library/Media Specialist. #lionspride #mendhamborosd




Hilltop kindergarteners met Tom Pirozzi, a retired U.S. Army Lt. Colonel, to discuss Veteran's Day. Mr. Pirozzi shared his Army experiences and how he appreciated getting letters. Hilltop students wrote 375 letters to soldiers this week at Kids Care. #lionspride #mendhamborosd

Mountain View's 7th graders organized a Thanksgiving food drive to support the Interfaith Food Pantry. Students decorated donation boxes, distributed wish lists, and read morning announcements to promote the drive. Over 380 pounds of food was donated! #mendhamborosd #lionspride

Fourth Graders in Hilltop's Band & Orchestra programs have had 8 lessons so far since September. Students are learning proper instrument techniques, simple songs, and how to read music notation.

Getting in the mood for the spooky day to come, first graders drew and painted witches and Frankenstein in the manner of Picasso. Second graders were Inspired by artist Piet Mondrian and his use of primary colors, and made spider webs in the style of Mondrian. #lionspride
