Hilltop welcomed paralympian gold medalist Kip St. Germaine Monday. Kip was a member of the US gold medal sled hockey team in 2002. He shared his story of overcoming adversity, coaching others with similar disabilities and appreciation for what he has! #lionspride #mendhamborosd
The Mendham Boro School District welcomed Allison Morgan from @Zensationalkids for a staff and parent workshop. Tools such as regulated breathing and understanding brain development among our youth was the primary focus of the talk and activities. #mendhamborosd #lionspride
4th Graders used the number 100 to incorporate into a picture. They also built different objects out of 100 cubes or pattern blocks in Math. They calculated the fraction and percent of each color. #mendhamborosd #lionspride

STEM is all around Hilltop! Students were given meager supplies to construct a marble maze for classmates. Next, they built a cup tower only the cups could not touch. Finally, students made helicopters with paper, a clip and just oral directions! #lionspride #mendhamborosd
Hilltop welcomed Dr. Ken Banasiak, an orthodontist in Mendham, and his team to speak to our students for Dental Health Month. Students learned about the importance of caring for teeth with brushing, flossing, and mouthwash. #lionspride #mendhamborosd
Kindergarteners are ready for Groundhog Day! We practiced the scientific method and made predictions about making and seeing shadows using flashlights and created a class graph. Most kindergarteners think that Phil will not see his shadow! #lionspride #mendhamborosd
Hilltop's 4th graders recently learned what life was like for Lenape people before Europeans arrived. They researched an item of importance to Lenape life, made models of these items and wrote essays comparing and contrasting them to items used today. #mendhamborosd #lionspride
