4th Graders Bake for Good

Hilltop School's 4th graders recently took part in Bake for Good, a program run by King Arthur Flour.  Hilltop's 4th-grade students participated virtually by watching chef Amy Driscoll as she led them through the process of making bread.  The Bake for Good program has three goals: learn, bake, and share.  Students learned the math and science of making bread from scratch. With supplies from King Arthur, they baked the bread recipe at home after her presentation.  The recipe makes two loaves, one to keep at home and the other was donated to The Market Street Mission in Morristown as an act of kindness. Studies show that social-emotional learning thrives when engaging in good deeds, such as charity work.  In total, students donated 42 loaves of bread to those in need!
