Cyber Safe Schools

As part of the district’s ongoing commitment to student safety and digital citizenship, families were invited to attend a presentation on Thursday, April 23, led by Cyber Safe Schools.

The presentation was built on a series of three prior student presentations delivered throughout the school year, reinforcing the district’s proactive and layered approach to online safety education. Through age-appropriate programming, students have engaged in learning around critical topics including cyberbullying, online exploitation, digital privacy and responsible online behavior.

The parent session focused on extending that learning to families, providing practical resources and strategies to help families support safe and responsible technology use at home.

Programs like this help build a more informed, proactive school community and reflect the district’s commitment to preparing students not only for academic success, but for safe and responsible participation in today’s digital world.

“This partnership with our Police Department and Cyber Safe Schools has been incredibly valuable because it engages not just our students, but our families as well,” said Superintendent Dr. Mitzi Morillo. “As technology continues to shape how we learn, communicate and interact, it is essential that we provide students and parents with the knowledge and tools to navigate the digital world safely and responsibly.”
