On Valentine’s Day, Hilltop School’s third graders participated in their annual Jump Rope for Heart Event in our Gymnasium. All students and their teachers spent an hour taking turns jumping rope and performing other cardiovascular exercises in an effort to raise funds for the American Heart Association. It was the 25th year the school participated in Jump Rope for Heart! The event, part of the American Heart Association’s Kids Heart Challenge was organized by first year physical education teacher Dan Coviello made tremendous impact and helped millions of Americans through increased awareness of cardiovascular disease, lifesaving scientific research and critically needed education efforts.
