Mountain View Middle School's Related Arts department hosted its annual Festival of the Arts on Thursday, May 22, 2025. A school-wide event, Festival of the Arts is the highlight of students' creative work for the year. Visual arts displays, STEM project
s, Game Design and Film & Audio Production creations, and School Broadcasting episodes decorated the hallways and gym. Work and projects from Spanish classes were also highlighted, complete with a student performance of a traditional Peruvian dance.
While attendees perused the project displays, performing arts students showcased their talents. Small ensembles and solos in Band, Chorus, and Orchestra were enjoyed by all. Some performances even featured original arrangements created by students.
This annual event reinforces the importance of the Arts in middle-level education. From encouraging individuality and creative expression to strengthening problem-solving and thinking skills, Related Arts is an integral component of the student experience at Mountain View Middle School.
