Awards, Recognitions & Accomplishments

Mendham Borough School District serves students in PK-8. The district consists of two schools: Hilltop Elementary School and Mountain View Middle School. Our district ranked #14 in the State by NJ. com’s list of 100 school districts with elementary schools that performed the highest on the PARCC Assessment. Our schools have also been consistently recognized for their community service cultivated through the Character Education Committee at Hilltop and the Advisory Program at Mountain View. Hilltop School was named a New Jersey School of Character and a National School of Character while Mountain View was predesignated as a New Jersey School to Watch (NJSTW) for the third time. The first School in NJ to receive this distinction. The National Forum to Accelerate Middle-Grades Reform through their Schools to Watch program recognizes high performing schools with proven academic excellence while also being developmentally responsive and socially equitable.

In addition, our students are recognized annually as county champions in a variety of sports and our musical ensembles have consistently received the highest rating at the High Note Festival.
